Aldea

Terms and Conditions

This text is a recommended baseline and should be reviewed by your legal advisors before final publication.

These terms govern the contracting of the services offered by Aldea through www.aldeaenergy.com and other available channels. They comply with Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services (LSSI-CE) and with consumer protection legislation.

Purpose

These terms govern access to, contracting of and use of the services of the Aldea ecosystem, in particular the supply of 100% renewable energy, membership of solar communities and the related services (EV charging, aerothermal solutions and digital tools), on the terms set out in each individual contract.

The contracting process

Signing up with Aldea is simple and hassle-free. The general steps are:

  • You choose the service or tariff that best fits you, online, by phone or with your advisor.
  • You provide the necessary details (account holder, supply point, CUPS code and payment information) and review the pre-contract information.
  • You accept these terms and the specific conditions of the contract.
  • You receive confirmation of the contract on a durable medium (email) and we handle the activation or supplier switch.

To contract, you must be of legal age and be the holder of, or authorised over, the supply point.

Prices and taxes

The applicable prices are those in force at the time of contracting and are set out in the specific conditions of your contract. Unless stated otherwise, prices are shown excluding applicable taxes (such as VAT or the Special Electricity Tax), which will appear on your invoice in accordance with current law. Aldea may update prices as provided for in the contract and in sector regulations, always notifying you with the legally required notice period.

Billing and payment

Billing is carried out periodically based on your consumption and the conditions of your contract. Payment is generally made by direct debit from the account (IBAN) you provide. You will receive your invoices electronically and can view them in your customer area and in the app. In the event of non-payment, the provisions of the contract and electricity-sector regulations will apply.

Duration and termination

Contracts have the duration stated in their specific conditions and renew as agreed. Unless expressly stated otherwise, there is no minimum commitment period: you can terminate your contract whenever you wish by contacting customer support, with no early-termination penalty. Aldea may terminate the contract in the cases provided for by law or for serious breach of these terms.

Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer and have contracted at a distance or off-premises, you have 14 calendar days to withdraw from the contract without giving any reason, in accordance with the Spanish General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users. To exercise this right, notify us unequivocally (for example, by email to legal@aldeaenergy.com) within that period. If you ask for the supply to begin during the withdrawal period, we may charge the proportional amount for the service already provided up to the date of your notice.

Customer support and complaints

We are here to help. You can contact our customer support team on 900 953 223, by email at legal@aldeaenergy.com or through your customer area. We will handle your complaints within the legally established time frames. As a consumer, you may also turn to the competent consumer authorities and to the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Applicable law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Spanish law. For the resolution of any dispute, the parties submit to the courts that are competent under the law. Where the user acts as a consumer, the court of their place of residence will have jurisdiction if so established by consumer protection legislation.
